Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the 8 Northeast (8NE) unit, which specializes in medical/surgical/trauma care. The unit provides high-quality care to patients with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, traumatic fractures, as well as complex wound management and advanced diabetic management.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess patient conditions in a step-down unit.
- Administer medications and manage intravenous (IV) drips, including titratable medications such as Cardizem and Amiodarone.
- Provide care for patients requiring advanced respiratory support, including BiPAP and chronic ventilation.
- Collaborate with medical staff to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Ensure proper documentation using the EPIC charting system.
Required Experience
Strong assessment skills and adaptability to a fast-paced work environment.
Certifications / Licensure
- Current BLS certification required.
- ACLS certification is also required.
- Active RN licensure.
