Job Description
Seeking a Registered Nurse for the IMCU unit, focusing on patients with neuro, cardiac, trauma, and respiratory conditions. The role includes the management of patients with chronic ventilators, post-operative care, and utilization of special equipment including temp pacers, chest tubes, and A lines.
Responsibilities
- Caring for adult patients aged 18 and older in a 64-bed unit, with 15 designated neuro beds.
- Managing critical conditions such as COPD, DKA, sepsis, myocardial infarction (MI), and other cardiovascular issues.
- Collaborating with respiratory therapy for patients on chronic vents.
- Floating to other departments as required.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in IMCU/PCU.
- Documented travel experience preferred.
Certifications / Licensure
- Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
- NURSYS report for license verification required.
