Registered Nurse - IMCU/PCU Night Shift
Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule
Night shift from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM. Please note that block scheduling is not guaranteed.
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU). The IMCU specializes in caring for patients with complex medical needs, including those recovering from neuro, cardiac, trauma, and respiratory conditions. You will be part of a dedicated team working in a high-acuity environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the IMCU.
- Monitor and manage patients with complex medical conditions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Utilize specialized equipment including temp pacers, chest tubes, and A-lines.
- Assist with Ventilator management and collaborate with the respiratory therapy team.
- Document patient care and progress effectively in compliance with EMR standards.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in IMCU/PCU.
- Current and valid New York RN license.
- Current certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
- Up-to-date skills checklist matching specialty.
- Experience with EPIC EMR system.
- Drivers' license with matching address demographics required.
