Job Description
Join a dynamic team in the Progressive Care Unit, where you will provide exceptional, individualized care to medical, cardiac, and surgical patients requiring intermediate care. The patient population includes complex cases such as sepsis, stroke, myocardial infarction, heart failure, and more. You'll leverage advanced technology and work collaboratively to ensure high patient satisfaction and care quality metrics.
Responsibilities
- Perform Q6H head-to-toe assessments and chart findings comprehensively.
- Manage administration and titration of various cardiac medications and therapies.
- Carry out procedures including IV insertion, EKGs, Foley placements, and wound care management.
- Facilitate early mobility and assist with activities of daily living for patients.
- Utilize the iMobile device for communication and access to patient charts.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Current RN license with BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Cardiac and telemetry experience preferred, with PCU or critical care experience highly desirable.
- Advanced skills in IV management, chest tube care, tracheostomy, and EKG interpretation.
