Day shift from 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM.
Job Description
The PACU unit provides care for patients recovering from anesthesia, including a high volume of neuro and stroke patients, interventional radiology, and surgical cases such as spine, general, GI, colorectal, total joints, GYN, and robotics. Staff members are expected to float between different PACU areas, which include Main, Surgical Robotics, and the Orthopedic Surgery Center.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess patients recovering from anesthesia.
- Provide appropriate interventions based on patient needs.
- Ensure adherence to ASPAN standards with patient ratios of 1 RN to 2 patients, and up to 3 for same-day surgery patients.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to enhance patient care.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of current hospital PACU experience.
- Current PALS, ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.
Certifications/Licensure
- Active RN license in the state of Colorado.
