Job Description
Join our dynamic team in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) where you will provide critical care to patients recovering from anesthesia following surgical procedures. You will work in a unit with 40 beds, focusing on patient safety and comfort in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Monitor vital signs and assist in postoperative recovery.
- Administer medications as prescribed and perform related patient care tasks.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide optimal patient care.
- Document patient assessments and updates in the electronic medical record system (Cerner).
Required Experience
- Experience in trauma and pediatric patient care.
- Advanced skills in ventilator monitoring.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required.
- NIH Stroke Scale experience is preferred.
