Job Description
The Registered Nurse in the Operating Room is responsible for delivering safe, effective, and quality patient-centered care for all patient populations. This role includes acting as a patient advocate and meeting surgical standards of nursing practice. The RN will develop and implement total nursing care by assessing patient needs, creating nursing diagnoses, preparing care plans, and providing leadership in a collaborative healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
- Participate in and implement age-specific care tailored to the individual needs of patients.
- Conduct thorough head-to-toe assessments and reassessments per policy across all age groups, including pediatric and geriatric populations.
- Effectively assess and manage pain using appropriate techniques.
- Collaborate closely with the healthcare team including RNs, LPNs, NAs, and physicians in assessing patient and family needs.
- Demonstrate expertise in sterile techniques and maintain high standards in nursing practice.
Required Experience
- Graduate of a Registered Nurse Program.
- Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse License.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current RN License in Oklahoma.
