Day shift from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM. Floating and call required.
Job Description
This position involves general medical-surgical nursing duties within an inpatient nursing unit. The role includes caring for a patient population with a typical ratio of 1:6 and may involve occasional non-critical pediatric patients on the floor. The electronic medical record system used is MedHost.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care for medical-surgical patients.
- Administer medications and monitor patient conditions.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members for optimal patient outcomes.
- Document patient care and responses in MedHost.
Required Experience
- 2+ years of experience in a medical-surgical nursing role.
- BLS certification is required.
Certifications/Licensure
- ACLS and PALS certifications are preferred.
- Must have state licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in New Mexico.
