Job Description
The LTAC/Telemetry Registered Nurse is responsible for providing care to patients in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. This role necessitates critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership skills, ensuring the safe delivery of care while delegating patient care priorities based on the available staff's experience and education. The nurse will maintain clinical competencies through continuing education and supervise assigned personnel in patient care.
Responsibilities
- Utilize the Nursing Process to plan and deliver care to patients.
- Demonstrate critical thinking and scientific judgment in patient care.
- Delegate patient care priorities effectively.
- Provide direction and supervision to the healthcare team.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies and state regulations.
Required Experience
- Experience in LTAC/Telemetry nursing.
- Ventilator and tracheostomy management experience.
- Knowledge of central lines and preferred wound care experience.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current Florida RN license or multi-state compact RN license.
- ACLS and BLS certifications required (must be attached to the submission).
