Job Description
The LTAC/Telemetry Registered Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive patient care through the Nursing Process in alignment with the Florida Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. This role requires the demonstration of critical thinking, efficient planning, and the provision of safe care delivery. The RN will maintain clinical competencies and supervise the delivery of nursing care by assigned personnel.
Responsibilities
- Utilize the Nursing Process to provide patient care.
- Demonstrate critical thinking and scientific judgment.
- Anticipate and plan for safe delivery of care.
- Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education.
- Delegate patient care priorities based on staff education and experience.
- Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel.
Required Experience
- At least 1 year of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Experience with ventilators and tracheostomy care.
- Knowledge of central lines and preferred experience in wound care.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current Florida RN license or multi-state compact RN license.
- ACLS and BLS certifications required (must be through the American Heart Association).
