3 shifts per week, Day Shift (07:00 - 19:00).
Job Description
The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will provide care in a Level III high-risk facility, involved with early inductions, antepartum care, and continuous monitoring of patients. The nurse will also float to the High Risk OB unit as needed, which consists of 16 rooms. This position may require assignment to nearby lower-volume hospitals based on staffing needs. Comprehensive documentation is expected in EPIC.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care in the Labor and Delivery unit, monitoring patients on continuous care.
- Float to High Risk OB unit as needed, ensuring alignment with scope of practice.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary support teams to address patient needs.
- Complete required Dysrhythmia test within 72 hours of signing the contract.
Required Experience
- 2.5-3 years of experience in Labor and Delivery.
- Charge experience is preferred, especially handling patient ratios and EPIC charting.
Certifications/Licensure
- Active New Jersey RN license.
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications.
- Must pass Dysrhythmia test as detailed above.
