3x12 or 4x12 Rotating holidays and weekends. Night Shift from 19:00 to 07:30.
Job Description
The Labor & Delivery Unit provides comprehensive obstetric care for patients from 20 weeks of gestation through 6 weeks postpartum. The department includes 14 Labor & Delivery rooms, an OB Triage Unit, OB Operating Rooms, and an OB PACU. Frederick Health recently expanded its unit, introducing five brand-new Labor & Delivery rooms with modern technology and state-of-the-art equipment designed for comfort and family-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care during labor and delivery.
- Monitor and support patients throughout labor and postpartum recovery.
- Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team in the Labor & Delivery unit.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care using the Meditech charting system.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of strong Labor & Delivery RN experience.
- OB Triage experience required.
- Previous travel nursing experience required.
Certifications/Licensure
- Active Maryland RN license or Compact RN license at the time of submission.
- Active fetal monitoring certification required; C-EFM preferred, or AWHONN Intermediate accepted (must obtain C-EFM if contract extensions meet or exceed 1 year).
- Current certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP.
