ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery (Variable Shift) in Kodiak, Alaska.

This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule/Shift
The schedule consists of 3x12 hour shifts with weekend requirements. The clinician may be called off for one 12-hour shift every two weeks and is expected to float within scope to meet facility needs.
Job Description
This position provides nursing care in the Labor and Delivery unit of an acute care medical center with a total of 46 staffed beds. You will work directly with neonates and infants, providing specialized care in a critical access hospital setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to laboring mothers and newborns.
- Administer medications and manage intravenous therapy.
- Support and educate parents on newborn care and breastfeeding.
- Monitor maternal and fetal health, including usage of external and internal fetal monitoring.
- Assist with high-risk deliveries and cesarean sections.
- Conduct postpartum assessments and implement appropriate interventions as needed.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery.
- Previous charge experience is preferred.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current RN license.
- ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate certifications required.
