ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery (Night Shift) in Anchorage, Alaska.

This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule/Shift
Shifts will be 3x12 or 4x12 hours, nights. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend, and no on-call duties are expected.
Job Description
This position is within a high-risk Labor and Delivery unit that includes OB Triage and Antepartum care. The unit features 10 OB Triage rooms, 10 Labor Delivery Recovery (LDR) rooms, 3 operating room suites, and 4 PACU rooms. You will manage an average of 7 deliveries daily, often with up to 14 patients, including inductions and high-risk antepartum cases. Familiarity with Epic as the charting system is required.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in labor and delivery.
- Perform assessments and monitor the health status of mothers and newborns.
- Administer medications and IV therapies as prescribed.
- Assist in various delivery methods including vaginal and cesarean births.
- Support breastfeeding and lactation needs for new mothers.
- Maintain accurate patient records using the Epic system.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery.
- Charge experience is preferred, or willingness to be trained for charge duties.
Certifications/Licensure
- Active Registered Nurse license in Alaska (license in hand for auto offer).
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, AWHONN Advanced, and NRP.
