ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery (Night Shift) in Anchorage, Alaska.

Schedule/Shift
The schedule consists of 3x12 or 4x12 night shifts, with weekend requirements every other weekend.
Job Description
This position is located in a high-risk Labor and Delivery (L&D) unit that includes OB Triage and Antepartum care. The facility averages around 7 daily deliveries, with capabilities to accommodate high-risk patients and inductions. The L&D unit features 10 OB Triage Rooms, 10 Labor, Delivery, and Recovery (LDR) Rooms, 3 Operating Room (OR) suites, and 4 Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) rooms.
Responsibilities
- Administer care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit, including support for high-risk deliveries.
- Assist in procedures such as cervical cerclage, cesarean sections, and D&Cs.
- Conduct assessments and implement care plans for mothers and newborns.
- Provide education and support to parents regarding breastfeeding and discharge teaching.
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy and social services as needed.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery.
- Charge experience preferred or willingness to train as charge nurse.
- Familiarity with Epic charting system.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current Registered Nurse license in Alaska (license in hand for Auto Offer).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced certification.
- NRP certification.
