Job Description
As a Registered Nurse in the Labor and Delivery unit, you will provide comprehensive care to expectant mothers and their newborns. This role involves monitoring labor progress, providing pain relief, assisting with delivery, and ensuring the safety and well-being of both mother and child.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the health of mothers and infants during labor and postpartum.
- Assist with the delivery of babies and provide immediate care to newborns.
- Provide education and support to families before, during, and after delivery.
- Document patient care and medical history accurately in the electronic health system.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care.
Required Experience
- Current Registered Nurse license in the state of New Mexico.
- Experience in Labor and Delivery preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred.
