Registered Nurse - Postpartum
Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule
Night shift: 3x12-Hour (18:00 - 06:00) with weekend requirements to meet staffing needs.
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for our Postpartum unit. This position involves caring for a diverse population and supporting high-risk obstetric patients. RNs will circulate on cesarean sections and provide essential postpartum care for new mothers and infants.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess postpartum patients.
- Assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections.
- Provide education and support to new mothers regarding breastfeeding and infant care.
- Administer medications and manage intravenous therapies as needed.
- Perform required assessments and document care in the Epic charting system.
- Respond to emergencies and provide appropriate interventions as necessary.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in postpartum care or a related field.
- Current California RN license required (compact license acceptable).
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, and NRP.
- Experience with the Epic charting system is mandatory.
