Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

This position requires a Night 3x12-Hour shift from 18:00 to 06:00.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery will provide compassionate patient care while monitoring and assisting patients through their labor experience. This role requires collaboration with healthcare professionals to support expectant mothers and newborns, ensuring that both mother and child receive the highest standard of care.
Responsibilities
- Assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections.
- Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs.
- Administer medications and provide pain management, including epidurals.
- Conduct discharge teaching for both mother and baby.
- Participate in high-risk deliveries and neonatal resuscitation as necessary.
- Support breastfeeding and lactation needs for new mothers.
- Document patient care and interventions in the Epic charting system.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in Labor and Delivery.
- Current RN license in the state of practice.
- Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP.
- Previous charge experience is preferred.
- Travel experience required.
