This position requires 4x12 hour night shifts, from 1900 to 0730, with weekend shifts required every other weekend. Some flexibility is expected.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse in the Burn ICU will provide critical care to adult patients with burn injuries and pediatric trauma. This is an 18-bed unit where nurses will be assigned patients appropriate to their skill level. The facility utilizes the Epic charting system and requires proficiency in the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the burn and pediatric trauma ICU.
- Monitor and manage ventilated patients, including continuous IV sedation and ICP monitoring.
- Administer procedural sedation, and provide detailed monitoring of patient conditions.
- Interpret dysrhythmias and manage any identified issues effectively.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU setting, including working with adult populations.
- Experience in burn care preferred.
- Ability to float to other ICUs as needed.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current RN license in Washington state or pending license accepted.
- ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
- PALS, TNCC, CCRN, or ENPC certifications are preferred.
