The position requires 36 guaranteed hours per week with weekend coverage and up to 2 days of time off (RTO) allowed.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse in Trauma ICU will work in an acute care setting at a Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma Center. The clinician will provide care for trauma surgical patients, including those with complex wound care, TBI, and CRRT. The position involves collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, including IV teams, respiratory services, and rapid response teams. The RN will utilize the Cerner charting system.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients in the Trauma ICU.
- Monitor and manage ventilated patients, including continuous IV sedation and ICP monitoring.
- Administer and monitor procedural sedation as required.
- Participate in massive transfusions and complex wound care procedures.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for optimal patient care.
Required Experience
Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience in the Trauma ICU setting. First-time travelers are accepted.
Certifications/Licensure
- ACLS
- BLS
- NIHSS
- Preferred: TNCC
