Schedule/Shift
Day shift, 3x12 hour shifts, every other weekend and holidays.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide quality care by following the nursing care plan and supervising Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants. The RN will perform nursing assessments, collaborate with patients and interdisciplinary teams, and ensure effective and safe patient handling practices are adhered to.
Responsibilities
- Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission.
- Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from the day of admission.
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely.
- Supervise and provide direction to ancillary nursing personnel.
- Communicate significant changes in patient status to other care providers.
- Contribute to a positive work environment by participating in team-building activities.
Required Experience
- ICU experience is required.
- Minimum of two years bedside clinical experience is highly desired.
Certifications/Licensure
- BLS certification is required prior to the first shift.
- ACLS certification is required prior to the first shift (CIRH only).
