Job Description
The Registered Nurse will provide care in the Intensive Care Unit, managing critically ill patients. Responsibilities include careful monitoring of vital signs, administering medications, conducting comprehensive assessments, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to provide the highest level of care.
Responsibilities
- Manage arterial lines, central lines, and other invasive devices.
- Administer blood products and emergency medications as necessary.
- Monitor patients accurately and address dysrhythmias accordingly.
- Perform procedural sedation administration and monitoring.
- Provide comprehensive patient assessments and documentation using Epic.
- Participate in infection prevention and isolation precautions.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a critical care setting.
- Previous charge experience is highly preferred.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current New York State RN license in hand is required.
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
