This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule/Shift
7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week. Weekend hours required (every other or every third weekend).
Job Description
The Registered Nurse will provide critical care to adult patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Intermediate Care Unit (IMU). The position involves working with a patient population that includes common diagnoses such as COPD, Acute Respiratory Failure (ARF), Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA), Sepsis, and Shock. The RN will utilize a variety of equipment including cardiac monitors and IV pumps and will work with electronic health records via Meditech EMR.
Responsibilities
- Perform EKG interpretations and manage critical drips such as vasopressors and sedation.
- Monitor patient condition and report changes to the clinical staff lead or charge nurse.
- Provide care in a teamwork-oriented environment while being flexible and adaptable to unit needs.
Required Experience
Minimum of 1.5 years of experience in a critical care setting is required.
Certifications/Licensure
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
