ICU Float Registered Nurse
Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule
D/E/N Rotating Shift Schedule, Every Other Weekend (EOW), Holidays/On-Call/Callback/Charge per Unit Needs.
Job Description
The position offers exposure to a variety of ICU specialties, including MICU, SICU, Respiratory Special Care, and Surgical Progressive Care. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills while remaining current in knowledge of critical care.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the intensive care unit with the greatest staffing need.
- Utilize critical thinking skills to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
- Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and families regarding patient care.
- Remain knowledgeable about ICU protocols and procedures.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Current RN License in New York (NY License ONLY).
- Minimum of two (2) years of ICU acute care experience.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
- NIHSS certification.
