Schedule/Shift
This position requires 3x12 hour shifts, primarily on nights, from 19:00 to 07:30. Weekend shifts will be every other weekend, and may exceed to meet unit needs.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department will provide high-quality care to patients of all ages experiencing emergency medical conditions. The RN will work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This facility uses Epic as the documentation system, and offers free parking for staff.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department setting.
- Perform patient assessments and gather pertinent medical history.
- Administer medications and treatments as necessary.
- Monitor and document patient conditions and responses to treatments.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop care plans.
Required Experience
- At least 1 year of experience in an Emergency Department or similar acute care setting.
- Experience managing patient ratios up to 4:1.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current and valid Registered Nurse license in the state of California.
- ACLS, BCLS, NIH, and PALS certifications required.
