Schedule/Shift
This position requires flexibility to work weekends, with potential for shifts to exceed every other weekend to meet unit needs. The shift is a Night Shift (3x12 hours, from 19:00 to 07:30).
Job Description
The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room will provide high-quality care to patients in an acute care setting. This position involves working within a team of healthcare professionals and handling a wide range of patient diagnoses. Epic experience is required, with community hospital experience preferred. The candidate must be prepared to adapt to the dynamic environment of the emergency department.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in emergency situations.
- Utilize Epic for documentation and patient management.
- Maintain a patient ratio of 1:4.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide effective patient care.
- Handle various emergency scenarios, including trauma and critical care cases.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience in an emergency setting.
Certifications/Licensure
- Valid RN license (compact license accepted).
- ACLS, BCLS, NIH, and PALS certifications are required.
