Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse to join our team for night shifts. The nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality care and managing patient needs in a fast-paced emergency environment.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, and implement patient care plans in the emergency setting.
- Perform telemetry interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Provide triage and prioritize patient care according to urgency.
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.
- Conduct patient education and support family needs during emergencies.
- Float to other units as needed based on skill set at management's discretion.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 5 years of current Emergency Department experience.
- Valid NY RN License in hand.
- Current certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS, NIHSS.
- Experience in EPIC charting and telemetry systems.
- Must pass hospital proctored EKG skills test with >80% accuracy.
