Schedule/Shift
Shifts consist of 3x12 hour shifts during the night, with weekend coverage required every other week.
Job Description
This position is within the Emergency Department at a Level 1 Stroke and Cardiac Center, handling an average of 170 patients daily of all ages. The ER Nurse will provide critical care and manage a diverse patient population, utilizing Epic for documentation and maintaining high-quality care standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide emergency care to patients of all ages.
- Utilize Epic for patient charting and documentation.
- Manage patients requiring extensive nursing care, including those with multisystem organ dysfunction.
- Perform triage and assess patient needs quickly and accurately.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including rapid response teams and social services.
- Follow isolation precautions and utilize PPE as necessary.
Required Experience
- At least 1 year of experience in an emergency room setting.
- Experience with Epic electronic health records.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required.
- Must hold a valid compact RN license.
