Shifts are 4x12-hour, Night Shift, with weekend requirements every other weekend.
Job Description
The Emergency Room at Providence St. Peter Hospital sees approximately 170 patients daily, serving a diverse patient population including neonates, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The facility is a Level 1 stroke and cardiac center and a Level III trauma center, although it operates as a Level II facility. Nurses will be responsible for managing patient care in a fast-paced environment using the EPIC documentation system. Candidates with large facility experience and trauma experience are preferred, although all applicants with the required background are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care to patients in the Emergency Room setting.
- Monitor vital signs and manage patient assessments.
- Administer medications and IV therapies as needed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain documentation in the EPIC system accurately and timely.
- Participate in triage and care coordination for emergency patients.
Required Experience
- At least 1 year of Registered Nurse experience in an emergency department or similar setting.
- Epic documentation system experience.
- Charge experience preferred.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required.
- Active compact RN license must be in hand at submission.
