Job Description
The Emergency Department is looking for a skilled Registered Nurse to join their team. This position will require providing care to a diverse patient population including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. Common diagnoses include stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure. The facility utilizes EMR system EPIC and specialty equipment such as Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department.
- Assess, plan, and implement nursing interventions for patients with critical health conditions.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Document patient information accurately in the EPIC EMR system.
- Float to different areas in the unit as required.
- Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
- Perform duties as assigned, including SANE responsibilities when necessary.
Required Experience
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in the Emergency Department is required.
- Experience with pediatric patients is preferred.
- Travel experience in nursing roles is required.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current and active RN license in New York is required.
- AHA certifications for ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC must be in hand at the time of submission.
- Drivers' license with matching address to demographics is necessary.
- NURSYS report for license verification is required.
