7PM - 7AM, weekend every other.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department will provide care to patients in a 23-bed unit with a patient ratio of 4:1. The unit is equipped with standard ED equipment and utilizes Meditech for documentation. The Emergency Department operates as a Level IV trauma center and is designated as a primary stroke center and a chest pain accredited facility.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care in the Emergency Department setting.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Document all patient care activities accurately in the Meditech system.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department.
Certifications/Licensure
- Active Texas RN License (temporary licenses will not be accepted).
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and either PALS or ENPC, TNCC, NIHSS.
- Experience with Meditech is preferred.
