Job Description
The Emergency Department is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with experience in Emergency Nursing, including pediatric care. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to a diverse patient population, including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics, in a fast-paced environment. The facility requires the RN to be familiar with various patient diagnoses such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure. Experience with EPIC electronic medical records is essential.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care to all assigned patients in the Emergency Department.
- Participate in triage and manage acute patient cases including trauma and critical care.
- Utilize specialty equipment such as Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun.
- Facilitate floating to other departments as needed.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Emergency Department.
- Documented travel nursing experience is required.
Certifications/Licensure
- Active New York RN License.
- Current AHA certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC (TNCC is required).
- NURSYS report for license verification must be included at the time of submission.
