Night shift from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, with floating required every third weekend.
Job Description
This position is for a fast-paced rural Emergency Department with 23 beds, where the nurse will handle a patient ratio potentially reaching 4 or 5:1. The role involves providing critical care in emergency situations, following established protocols and procedures while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department.
- Assess, plan, and implement nursing care for emergency patients.
- Operate efficiently within a fast-paced and rewarding environment.
- Document patient care using the Cerner EMR system.
- Participate in de-escalation training as needed.
Required Experience
1-2 years of experience in the Emergency Department is required.
Certifications/Licensure
- Active RN licensure in Indiana.
- Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.
- Completion of de-escalation training is required.
