Job Description
The Registered Nurse in the Telemetry unit will provide care for patients requiring cardiac monitoring and intervention. Responsibilities will include monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and collaborating with healthcare teams to plan patient care. Strong assessment and communication skills are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry readings.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Assess patient conditions and report changes to the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with medical staff to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families on health management and care processes.
Required Experience
- Active RN license in Texas.
- Previous clinical experience in a telemetry unit is preferred.
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Telemetry certification preferred.
