Job Description
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients by employing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies and procedures. The RN will demonstrate critical thinking skills and scientific judgment while ensuring the safe delivery of patient care in the Emergency Department.
Responsibilities
- Provide care to Emergency Room patients.
- Utilize nursing processes effectively.
- Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education.
- Delegate patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of available staff.
- Provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care.
Required Experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, including prior travel experience.
Certifications / Licensure
- Valid CA RN License
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification
