Job Description
The ER Registered Nurse will provide high-quality patient care in the Emergency Department with a focus on both adult and pediatric patients. This position involves managing patients with various medical issues including those with multisystem organ dysfunction and providing emergency medications and interventions. RNs will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
Responsibilities
- Interpret and manage dysrhythmias.
- Administer blood products and manage central lines.
- Perform phlebotomy and start IVs, including administering continuous IV sedation and paralytics.
- Provide emergency medical interventions and care for CVA patients.
- Observe isolation precautions and maintain patient safety.
- Document patient care and interventions using the Epic charting system.
Required Experience
Minimum of 1 year of experience in Emergency Department nursing.
Certifications / Licensure
- Current NY RN license required.
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS.
