Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality care to critically ill patients. Clinicians should employ strong critical-thinking skills and adapt to available resources while managing a variety of responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Key responsibilities include interpreting and managing heart rhythm changes, caring for critically ill patients with multi-organ issues, and administering blood products.
Responsibilities
- Interpret and manage dysrhythmias
- Administer blood products and IV sedation
- Manage central lines and start/maintain IVs
- Care for stroke and ventilated patients
- Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs)
- Perform triage and follow isolation precautions
Required Experience
- Minimum of 1.5 years of experience
- At least 2 years of recent ER experience
Certifications / Licensure
- Active NY state nursing license or compact license
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
