Schedule/Shift
The shift is from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM with potential flexibility. Call requirements include 2:30 PM to 6:00 AM during the week and on weekends from 6:00 AM to 6:00 AM, usually scheduled for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Job Description
This role involves working with patients in an Endoscopy unit, providing necessary support during procedures, and ensuring the safety and comfort of patients undergoing endoscopic examinations. The unit has 4 beds and utilizes Cerner and Provasion as the EMR systems.
Responsibilities
- Assist in endoscopic procedures, ensuring sterile technique and patient safety.
- Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures for any complications.
- Administer medications as necessary, according to protocols.
- Document patient care and procedures in the EMR system accurately.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care.
Required Experience
Must have at least 1 year of experience in a nursing role, preferably with experience in Endoscopy.
Certifications/Licensure
- Valid RN license.
- BLS certification.
- ACLS certification.
