RN - Float Critical Care
Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule
Night shift: 3x12-Hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30.
Job Description
The Float Critical Care RN will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced critical care environment, including floating to various units as necessary. Candidates should be comfortable in ICU/CCU settings and skilled in managing critical patient needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients.
- Manage and monitor arterial lines and IV therapies.
- Care for ventilated patients and interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs).
- Post-operative care for cardiac surgery patients.
- Float between ICU, CCU, CTICU, and Step Down units as needed.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 1.5 years of Critical Care experience.
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
- Active NJ or Compact RN license required at the time of submission.
- Experience in managing dysrhythmias and post-cardiac surgery care is preferred.
- Exposure to Swan-Ganz catheters, IABP, and VAD is highly preferred.
