Job Description
Join a dedicated imaging department at an adult acute care hospital with a 64-bed capacity and a 12-bed adult ICU. The facility includes a 14-bed emergency department. The CT Technologist will primarily support adult emergency department patients, performing a variety of scans and assessments on both adult inpatients and pediatric patients when necessary.
The role emphasizes independent work and problem-solving abilities, as the technologist may need to back up the X-ray technician in the operating room.
Responsibilities
- Perform CT scans for adult patients, including CT heads, cervical spines, chest, abdomen, pelvis, CTA chest, neck, and abdomen.
- Occasionally conduct CTA cardiac studies and CT lumbar/thoracic spine scans.
- Utilize Siemens Somatom Plus 128 slice CT equipment effectively.
- Document patient information and maintain accurate records using Meditech EMR and FUJI Synapse PACS.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 6 months of experience as a CT Technologist.
- Registered with the ARRT and hold a KSBHA license.
Certifications/Licensure
- ARRT certification required.
- Kansas State Board of Healing Arts license required.
