Schedule/Shift
Full-time position requiring 40 hours per week with shifts scheduled as needed, including weekends and holidays.
Job Description
In this role, you will provide direct and indirect nursing care to residents under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel. You will be responsible for assessing patient needs, executing care plans, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for all residents.
Responsibilities
- Meet residents' activities of daily living (ADLs) as per their care plans, including hygiene, grooming, and toileting needs.
- Maintain a safe environment for residents by responding promptly to call lights and alarms, as well as ensuring cleanliness and safety standards are met.
- Ensure residents' nutritional needs are met, including meal delivery and assistance with feeding as required.
- Provide rehabilitative care as outlined in care plans, including exercises and mobility assistance.
- Report changes in residents' physical or emotional condition to the Charge Nurse promptly.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or in a certified nursing capacity.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current New York State Licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or RQI.
