Schedule/Shift
4x10 Day Shift; regular hours are 06:30-17:00. On-call from 17:00-06:30 with at least 10 call shifts required per month. Must be available for 1-2 weekends per month.
Job Description
The Cardiovascular Operating Room Technician will play a critical role in the surgical team, providing support during cardiovascular surgical procedures, including CABG, AVR, AAA, MVR, and minimally invasive surgeries. The technician will be responsible for maintaining a sterile environment, assisting with instrument setups, and ensuring proper handling of equipment and supplies. Familiarity with flexible endoscope reprocessing is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms for cardiovascular procedures, ensuring all equipment and instruments are sterile and ready for use.
- Assist the surgical team during procedures by providing instruments and supplies as needed.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to surgical procedures.
- Float to general operating room as required and be a quick learner.
- Participate in call shifts as scheduled, providing support when required after regular hours.
Required Experience
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a surgical environment, specifically in cardiothoracic surgery.
Certifications/Licensure
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Washington state license required.
- NBSTSA certification preferred.
