Job Description
The Certified Surgical Technologist will work in the cardiovascular operating room. Responsibilities include preparing the surgical field, passing instruments and supplies during surgery, maintaining a sterile environment, and ensuring the smooth flow of surgical procedures. The role involves assisting in turning over operating rooms to maintain case continuity.
Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons by preparing the surgical field and passing instruments during cardiac surgery.
- Maintain a sterile environment and ensure the smooth flow of surgical procedures.
- Help in turnover of OR rooms to keep surgical cases flowing efficiently.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the cardiovascular operating room setting.
- Strong skills in cardiac surgery and experience with thoracic da Vinci procedures are essential.
Certifications/Licensure
- CST Certification by the National Board of Surgical Technology is required.
- BLS certification is required.
