This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule/Shift
4-10 hour shifts per week; 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM. Must work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital employees.
Job Description
The Cath Lab Tech will work in a dynamic setting, responsible for assisting in various cardiac procedures, including diagnostic left heart catheterizations, PCI, STEMI, stroke, carotid stenting, and peripheral diagnostic and intervention methods. The tech will operate advanced equipment such as GE Innova, OCT, Boston IVUS, Impella, and others, utilizing the Meditech documentation system.
Responsibilities
- Scrub for left heart catheters (LHC), right heart catheters (RHC), and peripheral interventions.
- Monitor patients during procedures.
- Support in prep and recovery areas as needed.
- Participate in the on-call schedule, rotating with designated call teams.
Required Experience
Must have at least 1 year of relevant experience in the cardiac cath lab. Advanced skills in monitoring and assisting during procedures are essential.
Certifications/Licensure
- ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
- RCIS or RCES or RT(R) certification is also required.
