POSITION SUMMARY Operates CNC machines to produce precision components for geotechnical drilling equipment according to engineering specifications and production schedules. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Set up and operate CNC machines including lathes, mills, and machining centers 2. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders 3. Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain tolerances 4. Perform in-process quality checks using measuring instruments 5. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area 6. Document production output and report non-conformances 7. Perform routine machine maintenance and lubrication 8. Perform other duties as assigned REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 1. High school diploma or GED 2. 1+ years CNC machine operation experience 3. Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings 4. Familiarity with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 1. Vocational/technical certification in machining 2. Experience with Fanuc or Haas controls 3. Knowledge of GD&T PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT Prolonged standing (8-10 hrs/day), lifting up to 50 lbs, exposure to metal chips, cutting fluids, and machine noise. PPE required.
