Altar Valley School District #51 Job Title: Substitute Teacher Rate of Pay: $150.00 per day | Long-Term Rate: $175.00 per day Employment Type: On-Call / As-Needed SUMMARY Performs the regular teacher's class lesson plans and manages classroom activities while the teacher is absent.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reports to the school principal or secretary upon arrival.
- Communicates, collaborates, and cooperates effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and students.
- Maintains the routines and procedures of the assigned school and classroom.
- Assumes responsibility for instructing classes and fulfilling other duties during the teacher's absence.
- Oversees student behavior and ensures a safe learning environment.
- Maintains appropriate records for the absent teacher.
- Follows all district and individual school policies, rules, and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Possess or have the ability to obtain an Arizona Substitute Teaching Certificate.
- Possess or have the ability to obtain an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card (IVP).
- We will train the right candidate and support you in obtaining an Emergency Substitute Certificate.
