Job Overview & Compensation: Position: Production Machine Operator / Manufacturing Technician Location: East Setauket, NY 11733 (On-site, full-time) Pay Rate: $17.50 $22.50 per hour Experience Required: Previous manufacturing or machine operating experience is preferred but not required (on-the-job and paid training provided). Key Responsibilities: Operate Equipment: Run and assist with the setup of production equipment and machinery (including sheet metal roll forming) used to manufacture overhead rolling door components. Load raw materials. Read workshop orders and measure and inspect finishes prodcuts Quality & Safety: Read work orders and blueprints, perform quality checks, and produce parts according to exact specifications. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace. Operate manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently. Quality checks. Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on machinery to reduce downtime. Machine cleaning - keep area clean. Material Handling: Utilize a forklift and lift materials up to 50 pounds. Keep detailed production records. Cross-training: Cross-train on multiple machines.
