Job Description
Albemarle is hiring an Assistant Operator. This position is on site in Silver Peak, Nevada at the Albemarle Silver Peak Lithium Mine.
What You Will Do
- Support Plant Operator in the collection of samples.
- Support Plant Operator in the daily operation of transfer pumps.
- Support Plant Operator in the collection of monthly information.
- Maintain housekeeping within the plant.
- Fill in for the Plant Operator as needed.
- Communicate daily activities and information to the Plant Operator.
- Maintain daily and weekly work list tasks.
- Assist supervisor with other duties that he/she needs to accomplish department goals.
- Assist other departments as needed to accomplish company goals.
- Work safely, efficiently, cleanly, and self-consciously to keep department safety goals.
- Participate on the Emergency Response Team.
- Climb ladders up to 40 feet tall and work at heights.
- Carry boxes, lift items, and generally maneuver objects less than 50 pounds.
What You Bring
Required:
- Employee must demonstrate the ability to safely follow written procedures and maintain accurate records.
- Employee must demonstrate the basic understanding of computer operation.
- Employee must meet physical demands requirements as explained on the Physical Demands checklist.
- Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must be willing to work at heights.
- Must be able to wear respirator.
Preferred:
- Industrial operations experience.
- Military operations experience.
- OSHA/MSHA Certified
