Nanny sought by The Simons in Montclair, NJ, to care for 3 children. Regular work hours are from 7-9:20 am and 3-8 pm during the week, and some weekend hours: 8 am-1 pm or 8 am-3 pm; subject to change.
Duties include: Assisting with daily routines, including feeding the children, and driving them to and from school, extracurricular activities, and doctors’ appointments. Tending to the general and basic needs of the children while providing supervision to ensure their safety in day-to-day activities. Engaging the children in age-appropriate activities. Increase of illness or injury, provide the necessary medical attention; for example, closely monitor the children’s symptoms and health concerns, take their temperature, and administer medications as directed. Creating a safe environment for the children by removing hazards and enforcing appropriate boundaries. Performing housekeeping tasks related to the children’s care, such as cooking, doing laundry, folding clothes, and doing the dishes. Cleaning up (vacuum/sweep/wipe down) areas that the children utilize. Organizing the children’s closets, drawers, and toys. Duties are subject to change as the children grow.
Requires a High School Diploma, or GED, or foreign equivalent degree, and 12 months of experience as a Nanny, Au Pair or Babysitter.
