- Perform MIG and TIG welding on stainless steel and carbon steel components according to job specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints and welding drawings to determine welding requirements, dimensions, and tolerances.
- Set up, operate, and adjust welding equipment to achieve consistent and accurate welds.
- Conduct visual inspections of welds to verify quality, appearance, and compliance with standards.
- Perform dimensional inspections of screens and other welded assemblies to ensure they meet specified measurements.
- Assist with fabrication activities related to welding, including fitting, positioning, and securing parts prior to welding.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in the job shop environment.
- Follow established safety procedures and use appropriate protective equipment while welding and handling materials.
Essential Skills
- Minimum of 3+ years of MIG welding experience.
- Proven experience welding on steel materials, including stainless steel and carbon steel.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding drawings accurately.
- Proficiency in MIG welding techniques and processes.
- Experience with TIG welding on stainless and carbon materials.
- Strong attention to detail for visual inspection of welds and dimensional inspection of finished parts.
- Solid understanding of welding and fabrication practices in a job shop environment.
